Our group meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month visiting and exploring towns and villages within a 45 mins-1 hour drive from Hemel Hempstead with our primary focus being within the Beds, Bucks and Herts areas.

Each group member is encouraged to take their turn in driving as places are limited to the number of volunteer drivers. We ask each member to research a suitable destination, looking at points of interest, history etc., as well as sourcing parking and lunch venues and become leader for that day.

Meeting at Gadebridge Park about 9.30 we then car share with passengers contributing to the driver’s petrol; in addition there may be car park and entrance fees. Usual return time is around 4.30 pm. We always have a coffee break in the morning and a pub lunch.

Currently, our group is oversubscribed with a waiting list. If you were interested in setting up a second group, the current group coordinators would be happy to assist or advise.
