Whether you enjoy working with numbers, solving logical problems, or simply keeping your mind active, the Maths and Puzzles Group offers a friendly and stimulating environment for all abilities. You do not need an advanced knowledge of mathematics to take part—just curiosity and a willingness to have a go.

Our meetings include a wide variety of activities, from intriguing mathematical ideas and number patterns to brain teasers, logic problems, code-breaking, strategy games and classic puzzles. We explore topics that are both entertaining and thought-provoking, often discovering surprising connections between mathematics and everyday life.

Members are encouraged to bring along favourite puzzles or interesting problems for the group to tackle together. There is plenty of discussion, shared thinking and the satisfaction that comes from solving a challenging problem as a team. We learn from one another, exchange ideas and occasionally look at the history behind famous mathematical discoveries and puzzles.

The emphasis is always on enjoyment rather than competition. Whether you are an experienced mathematician, a keen puzzle enthusiast, or someone who simply likes exercising the grey cells, you will receive a warm welcome. Come along, challenge your mind, make new friends and discover just how enjoyable mathematics and puzzles can be.
