Why read plays rather than books? Plays are written to be spoken aloud, so characters, humour and emotion come alive through shared reading. Instead of simply imagining the dialogue, members hear it unfold as the author intended. Play Reading is an enjoyable, relaxed activity where everyone can take part, explore classic and modern works, appreciate fine writing, and share plenty of laughter in good company.
