2nd and 4th Tuesday during summer. Ad hoc sessions occasionally arranged due to weather. Drawing on location. Experienced artists or those interested in having a go!

Our group visits various locations in Dacorum where we draw, sketch or paint local scenes. During the warmer months we meet twice a month at outdoor places and during the colder months once a month at inside locations.

Among the many locations visited are the Old High Street, St Many’s, interior and churchyard, Great Gaddesden, Dickinson’s Quay, Piccotts End medieval cottages, the Walled Garden and the White Bridge in Gadebridge Park, The Forum interior, The Marchmont Arms etc.

We welcome all levels of ability from those daring to have a go for the first time to the more experienced. Although not every participant is always entirely content with their sketching, there is universal agreement how rewarding outdoor (and indoor) sketching is. Some of the group choose to display examples of their work on Facebook’s Urban Sketchers Dacorum platform which will give you some idea of what we do. Normally artists’ work shown there is identified only by initials. Newcomers are very welcome.

Our nominal hours are 10.00-12.00 but there are no time restriction so sketchers come and go as they please.
