2026 Join Or Renew

There are two easy ways to join or renew your membership with u3a Dacorum.
The links below provide all the information you need.

Membership Fees

We offer two annual membership options:

      • Single membership: £12.00
      • Joint membership: £22.00 (for two people living at the same address)

Each membership includes one copy of the u3a Dacorum Digest, our quarterly newsletter, sent to your registered address.

Third Age Matters (TAM) Magazine

TAM is published by the Third Age Trust and is available online through their website.
If you prefer a printed copy, you can request one on your membership form for an additional £4.20 to cover postage.

How to Join or Renew

      • Click here to complete the online membership form, or
      • Click here to download and save the editable PDF form to your device.
(If your browser only allows you to view the form, download and open it in an editor such as Adobe Reader to complete it.)

Membership Renewal Dates

      • The membership year begins on 1st April.
      • If you join between 1st January and 31st March, you pay the full fee, but renewal will not be required until 1st April of the following year. (You will get 1, 2 or 3 months free.)
      • If you join before 31st December, your renewal date will be the next 1st April. (A partial first year.)

Bank Payments

Please note: Some banks now verify the name of the account holder when making payments. Our bank, Metro Bank, does not yet participate in this scheme.

Visitors

      • Anyone—including members of other u3as—may attend up to two meetings before joining u3a Dacorum.
All attendees, including visitors, are asked to pay the standard meeting fee:
      • £2.00–£3.00 for hall meetings.
      • £1.00 for home meetings.

Gift Aid

The instructions are included on each Gift Aid form. Should you wish to include Gift Aid, click here to download the ‘gift aid’ form.

Privacy Statement

We only use your data to manage the contract we have with you. We pass data to:

    • The Third Age Matters magazine, if you pay for postage, so that they can deliver it to you.
    • The Digest printer, so that they can post it to you.
    • HMRC for tax purposes.

If you are a group coordinator, we will provide you with a dedicated group email address and also ask you which, if either, of your name and phone number you wish to have displayed. If neither, we will refer members to the Digest.

We check the privacy statements of all the website tools we use and only use tools that do not collect data about you. Download our Privacy Statement here.
