As a French Book Club, we read and discuss a book in French at the meeting. We are lucky to have three French people in the group as well as some who have taught French at A-level.
The rest of us have a reasonably good knowledge of the language and enjoy reading and speaking in French. We have a different person each time presenting and reviewing the book, then comes the discussion.
After that, tea and conversation, not always in French!
